Rays History

The Rapids Area YMCA Swimmers (RAYS) were established in 1990 as a dual charter swim team allowing swimmers to enjoy the benefits of both YMCA Swimming and USA Swimming.  The team quickly established a tradition of excellence earning two women’s YMCA long course national championships and one team YMCA long course national championship in the first four years.  Since then the RAYS have continued to produce fast swimmers including several division one swimmers, and scores of local, state, zone, and national individual and relay champions and record holders.
