How many practices does my swimmer have to attend?
RAYS does not have a practice attendance policy, rather we try to help swimmers match their attendance habits to their goals. Swimmers who wish to compete at the highest levels of our sport ought to be in the pool for almost every practice. Those who are involved in multiple activities and are not as concerned about their performance may attend less. In general swimmers who attend practice more than 60% of the time tend to improve their conditioning, master skills and develop relationships with teammates and coaches faster than those who are absent more often than they are present.
How many swim meets does my swimmer have to attend?
RAYS do not have a meet attendance policy, however, all competitive swimmers pay up front for home meets and we certainly hope every swimmer will at least participate in those meets. We also strongly encourage swimmers to participate in all of the championship meets for which they qualify.
How do I register?
Before initiating the online registration process, we recommend getting all of your questions answered. Please feel free to contact our office at 885-5906 or via email at rayscoach@hotmail.com. At the conclusion of the registration process, you will pay for your team fees, either a portion or the whole depending on your group and the time of year. These registration fees are not refundable.

Most new swimmers need to be evaluated before going through the registration process. Evaluations are held on Fridays from 4:00 - 6:00PM at the Southeast YMCA.
